Eight-week Consulting Program (Wedding Consulting 101)

This program is created for wedding professionals in the Baltimore/DC/No.VA/Southern PA area who can dedicate one evening per week to acquiring more information and knowledge about this growing field. Highlights of the course are:

2 ½ hour course each week
18 topics covered over the eight week period
Quiz each week
Exam every two weeks
Final exam at end of program
Final project required of each student
Guest speakers
Home Assignments
Field Trips

Each program includes materials, and each student is presented with a "Certificate of Completion" at the end of the course. The weekend program includes breakfast and lunch each day, while the eight-week course offers light refreshments at each session. The weekend course is offered on a nationwide basis, with a minimum of 15 students required for the program to be held in a particular geographical area.

The wedding consulting field is a growing industry that offers flexibility and the ability for business ownership. The most successful planners are those who stay on top of all educational and industry-wide trends.

Linnyette Richardson-Hall is a professional event consultant and native Baltimorean. She is the founder and a past president of the Association of Minority Wedding Professionals, and is currently a member of the Association of Bridal Consultants. She is a Senior Contributing Editor and featured columnist for "Signature Bride" magazine, the only international wedding/lifestyle publication specifically designed for the African-American bride and groom.

She is also founder and director of "The Business of Matrimony Seminar Series and Workshops," a vehicle that allows her to share her knowledge of the industry with those who wish to enter the wedding/special events industry. Her lecturing abilities have made her a highly requested speaker and moderator for various workshops and programs for entrepreneurs and small business owners.

Her company, Baltimore-based Premiere Event Management, is a privately-owned planning and design firm where she creates some of the country's finest weddings and occasions.
