I am looking for a spice tasting ceremony I recently saw at a Kwanzaa wedding. Basically I am looking for the spices and their symbolism that would be traditionally used. Any help would be appreciated. Please email me at damsylfly@hotmail.com.
Thanks. :-)

I am getting married soon and plan on having an Afrocentric wedding also. It is so hard to find patterns or examples of wedding dresses. I found about 3 web sites that had afrocentric wedding dresses. Unfortunetly I haven't seen any catalogs. I am also looking for Afrocentric invitations. Can anyone please tell me where I can go or who I can see?

I am assisting a friend with an African wedding. She wants a "traditional" African wedding cake. I am told it is made of raisins, currants, dates, etc., with a "hard" icing. If I understood correctly, it sounds like a fruit cake. Need help with how it should look. What is "hard" icing?
Thanks!

My parents are renewing their vows, I have had trouble in finding information about this. Where can I get information on order of service, etc. It is their 30th anniversary. We are looking for the African style.

I am a wedding coordinator. However, the current bride I am working with is ME. I am getting married to a USMC Officer and his sister has inquired on doing a double ceremony since she is getting married next year as well.

I am flattered that another woman would want to share her special day with another bride. I would like to have a double wedding with an African setting and would like to pose different options to her but I have never coordinated a double ceremony before. Can you give me some tips? I would like to present a theme of three families becoming one - like a tribe if you will. I would like to tell my FSIL of the wonderful memories we can create with a African Narrator, drummers, the whole Coming to America feel in Chicago.

Thank you for your time and any assistance you can render.
